A group for slimmers is expanding due to popular demand.
Two Slimming World classes are now being held at 5.30pm and 7.30pm every Thursday evening, at St Mark’s Church Hall in Queensway, Wellingborough. They replace the previous 6.30pm session.
Slimming World consultant Rosie Todd said: “We have now got enough people to hold two sessions. We had 70 people come along last week, including 25 new members.
“This year are will be focusing on our new motto, which is ‘fit not fat’, and losing weight for health reasons.
“We will be looking at all of the illnesses which can be helped by losing weight, because losing weight is not just about our appearance it’s also about our health.”
Long-standing members Julia Darnell and Tracey Brandon-Unsworth (pictured), who have lost 11 and a half stones between them, will act as role models to new members after being appointed to the group’s social team.
