Inspector Lara Alexander-Lloyd is vice chairman of the Wellingborough Community Safety Partnership, and she hopes people will enjoy the day.

She said: “We are hoping that people will come out and enjoy the activities taking place throughout the day and take some time to get to meet their local officers and other people working in the community.

“We will be asking people what they want from the Hemmingwell Community and Skills Centre and the Safer, Stronger Partnership.

“We also want people to volunteer so that they can support each other and work with all the agencies to make Hemmingwell a good place to live.”

The community fun day is taking place from midday until 4pm on Saturday, July 16.
