Kettering Rotary Club’s handyman team of Bruce Lamford, Bob Sanders and Phil Blackburn used their skills to renovate the roof and paint a summerhouse at Abbeyfield Sarnia House sheltered accommodation in Rockingham Road, Kettering.
Following a plea for help the trio set to work to make the improvements.
The club has had links with the home since 1972, when the then president, Stephen Eastwood, formed the Abbeyfield Trust, the club purchasing the building for £45,000.
Since then several members of Rotarian families have lived, or are currently living, there.
The work was greatly appreciated, typifying Rotary at work in the community.
