A group of organisations which supports vulnerable people across Wellingborough has been given £350,000 by the Big Lottery Fund.
Support Wellingborough is made up of 26 organisations who have teamed up to help Wellingborough residents by providing advice and practical support on everything from financial assistance, family and legal issues and domestic abuse to homelessness.
To recognise this work the Big Lottery Fund has awarded the scheme £350,000 through its Reaching Communities programme, which will fund two new jobs.
Support Wellingborough serves as a first point of contact for anyone with an immediate need.
It exists to offer a direct route to help for Wellingborough residents to a wide range of organisations, saving them time and relieving stress when they most need support.
Head of Support Wellingborough Pratima Dattani said: “Support Wellingborough was created to help people get the support they need as quickly as possible.”
