People are being urged to show their support for Northamptonshire’s very first Macmillan County Ball.
The Macmillan Cancer Support committees of Wellingborough, Rushden and Northampton have come together to organise a county ball.
All monies raised by the event will go towards supporting cancer patients and their families in Northamptonshire.
It will be a black-tie event with a champagne reception, four-course meal, music and dancing at Kettering’s Wicksteed Park on March 17 next year.
There will also be a silent auction taking place throughout the evening, with a selection of lots being up for grabs including holidays, experiences and sporting events.
Sally Fordyce, chairman of the Wellingborough & Rushden Macmillan Cancer Support group, said: “We hope that it will be well supported as all the proceeds will be used to fund cancer care within Northamptonshire only.”
Tickets for the evening cost £75 or tables of 10 can be bought for £700.
As well as buying tickets, the organisers are looking for sponsors for the event.
They would love to hear from any companies across the county who would be interested in providing sponsorship.
An official launch for the county’s first Macmillan County Ball was held recently at Natwest in The Drapery, Northampton.
