Local charities are among thousands to benefit across the country thanks to the generosity of customers the Yorkshire Building Society.
Customers of the Rushden branch of the building society, based at Prime Choice Properties in High Street have been donating their spare pennies from their interest payments boosting the national total raised by the society’s charitable foundation to £6million since 1999.
Wellingborough based charities Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal and The Victoria Centre will benefit each receiving part of the £3,050 raised by the Rushden branch.
Amaniel Ghile, proprietor of Prime Choice Properties said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to support the Charitable Foundation’s fantastic announcement that it has broken the £6million barrier.
I’m especially pleased to see that many of these donations have been made in support of charities and good causes in Rushden our surrounding communities.”
More than 20,000 donations have been made across the country since the Charitable Foundation was established.
