Further information released about Co-op robbery

More information has been released by the police following a robbery at a county Co-op store.

The robbery happened at the Co-op in Hunters Way, Brixworth, when three men wearing balaclavas threatened staff, forced them to open the safe in the store and then made off with cash and cigarettes.

A police spokesman said: “Two of the men were wearing light grey hooded tops, black tracksuit bottoms with a single white stripe down the sides, white gloves, white baseball caps, light-coloured face coverings and white trainers.

“The third man was wearing a navy blue hooded top, light grey tracksuit bottoms with a single black stripe down the side, grey gloves, a baseball cap with a red peak, black trainers or pumps and a black face covering.

“It is believed the offenders used a blue saloon vehicle.”

The incident happened at about 5.30am on Tuesday, July 17.
