Fundraising week raises thousands for Northamptonshire’s air ambulance

The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s (WNAA) Air Ambulance Week raised the money for vital services provided by them and their sister service Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.

The week at the end of September saw hundreds of supporters take to the streets to sell special Air Ambulance Week pin badges, painting all five of the counties the air ambulances serve yellow.

Each mission WNAA fly costs an average of £1,700. As the charity receives no government funding, it relies entirely on generous donations and events like these to raise money for its lifesaving service. Since its inception in 2003 it has been out on over 16,000 missions, saving lives every day in the local community.
