STAFF at Pets at Home stores in Northamptonshire will be holding their first national fundraising drive of the year.

The teams are aiming to raise more money than ever before for local animal charities with an Easter fundraising drive.

It will involve employees at the Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough stores running activities to raise awareness and funds for deserving animal causes.

A spokesman for the chain said: “Our nationwide fundraising drives have become a permanent fixture in our calendar as they give us the chance to increase awareness of pet adoption and raise money for local animal rescues at the same time. We’ll be holding a number of activities for customers and there are some great prizes to be won.”

It started on Friday and runs until April 13.

Raffle tickets will be on sale for £1 at the stores giving customers the chance to win free pet food for a year, an Apple iPad2, an iPod shuffle, Pets at Home gift vouchers and a free dog grooming session.
