Families are invited to party for free at a town’s annual Party In The Park celebration.

Rushden Town Council’s events committee has a line-up for the event, including music, dance, acrobatics and displays, for the event on Saturday, July 12.

The Party In The Park event will take place at Hall Park in the town.

Attractions in the arena include the famous Derbyshire Midshipmen Marching Band, the Galloping Acrobats with their highly choreographed routines both with and on the horses, a stunt show by the James Dylan Motorcycle Display Team and also a display by Rushden Army cadets.

In the walled garden, local bands and dance troupes will perform during the afternoon, with acts including South End Junior School choir, NN10 Community Voices and Dance Vybz.

There will also be live music, Extreme American Wrestling, train rides, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and many stalls manned by local charities and groups.

The free event will be opened by Rushden mayor, Cllr Richard Lewis, at 1pm and will go on until about 10pm.
