An outdoor screening of the children’s Disney film favourite Frozen is being held in Kettering.
The smash hit film tells the story of a fearless princess who embarks on a journey alongside a rugged iceman, his loyal pet reindeer and a clueless snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Since it was released last year, the film has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time and is the fifth highest grossing film of all time.
It has also spawned an incredible array of merchandise, spin-off computer games and the hit song Let It Go.
Kettering Council is hosting the screening on a big screen in the Market Place from 5pm on Thursday, December 11.
Frozen is the first of three films being broadcast in Market Place during the festive period.
Christmas movie The Polar Express will be shown on Thursday, December 18, from 5pm, and the classic Miracle on 34th Street is being shown on Saturday, December 20, from 3pm.
Parking will be free in nearby council-owned car parks during all three of the film screenings.
Other Christmas entertainment on offer this year includes Small Business Saturday, December 6, which will see entertainment from choirs, musicians and street performers as well as a chance to inspire your festive wardrobe at Kettering on the Catwalk’s Christmas Fashion Show, taking place from midday to 2pm.
