A daughter has teamed up with a friend to hold a fundraiser in memory of her dad who lost his battle with cancer last year.
Katt Perry and Zoe Brown raised £1,800 with a charity ball they organised last year in memory of Katt’s dad, who died last April.
They are now hoping to add to their fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK by having a charity night at Higham Ferrers Working Men’s Club from 7.30pm on Friday (August 5).
There will be a DJ and live music as well as a raffle and live auction.
Prizes up for grabs on the night include a hot air balloon ride for two people, £100 Buy A Gift voucher, stadium tour for four at Leicester City, paintballing for ten people, Northampton Saints tickets, £100 tattoo voucher, £75 to spend behind the bar at Higham Ferrers Working Men’s Club and a voucher for The Griffin in Higham Ferrers.
Zoe said: “The main reason behind all of this is Katt’s late father passed away last April after years of battling with cancer.
“I luckily hadn’t dealt directly with anyone with cancer, however Les was a good friend of my father and Katt is a good friend of mine so we got together to raise money in his memory.”
Tickets cost £5 including food, which will be pizza from Domino’s paid for by Home Instead Senior Care which cared for Katt’s father towards the end of his life.
