Friends of a Corby teenager who died earlier this year after a battle with a rare form of cancer have raised £1,011 in his memory.
After rehearsing for two months and planning the event, the young singers, dancers and rappers showed off their talents at the Irish Centre, Corby.
They held the event to raise funds for Helen & Douglas House, a hospice for young people in Oxford, where their friend Chris Hargin received treatment.
Chris died on January 22, aged 18.
Detached youth worker Maria de Folco said: “The 16 young people who took part did a fantastic job and the performers were terrific on the night.
“We were delighted with the support we received and the money that was raised for the hospice, in Chris’ name.
“We would like to thank Groundwork and the shopkeepers in Burghley Drive who contributed towards the cost of staging the event.”
