Motorists can park for free in Kettering Council-owned car parks over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
The authority says there will be no charge to use the car parks between Good Friday, April 3, and Easter Monday, April 6.
It applies to the following car parks: London Road, Municipal Offices, Queen Street, School Lane, School Lane Pop and Shop, Wadcroft and Commercial Road.
A spokesman said: “While in the town centre, why not take part in the Easter Egg Hunt around the town centre, which is running from Tuesday, March 31, to Saturday, April 11.
“Simply pick up a map and word search from the Manor House Museum for 50p.
“Follow the map to find the Easter eggs that have been hidden in 15 shops in the town centre.
Guy Holloway, head of community services at Kettering Council, said: “Kettering town centre provides a great value venue this Easter with free parking, great restaurants, a wide range of shops and fun activities for the whole family.”
Councillor Jan Smith, Kettering Council’s portfolio holder for community and culture, said: “We are encouraging people to support our local businesses and the town centre and believe offering these free parking days will make this easier.
“Free parking, along with the Easter Egg Hunt shows that Kettering is a great place to visit this Easter.”
