The event is being presented by chief audiologist Shekhar Purohit, who leads the hospital’s audiology team – which is made up of nine audiologists, four reception staff and two students.

Mr Purohit will outline the kind of services the audiology team provides – particularly to people with hearing problems that require hearing aids and also about the various kinds of screening the department does for children.

Other topics to be covered include: services provided at the trust, what to do if you think you need to see an audiologist, what will happen in your appointment and the benefits of hearing aids.
