The magic of Christmas is coming to Rushden on November 29 when the festive lights go on.
There will be entertainment in High Street from 11am, ahead of the mayor Richard Lewis switching on the Christmas lights at 4.30pm.
Santa will be there at 1pm after arriving on his sleigh pulled by real reindeer and in his grotto until 4pm. The reindeer will remain as part of the entertainment during the day.
Music will be provided by South End Junior School choir, the Musical Santas Band, the Salvation Army Band and St Mary’s Church Choir with demonstrations by Starlight dance school and a Zumba group.
The free event has been organised by Rushden Town Council’s events committee.
