Free blood pressure checks on offer in Rushden

The sessions take place on Saturday, April 23, from 10am to 4pm at Waitrose.

Doctors and qualified medics will be on hand to check your blood pressure and give advice on how to keep it under control.

It is part of a national campaign called Know Your Blood Pressure.

High blood pressure remains the biggest risk factor for strokes, accounting for 54 per cent of strokes. It is often referred to as the ‘silent killer’ because there are often no symptoms and many people have no idea their health is at risk. Estimates show there are 7 million people who do not know that they have high blood pressure.
