Milder temperatures and overnight rain have brought risks of flooding, the Environment Agency has warned.
The north of the county has largely escaped any flood warnings as of this morning (Sunday, January 27) but they have been issued for other rivers in Northamptonshire, including the River Ise at Clipston and the River Nene at Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Site, near Northampton.
However, a number of flood alerts, which advise people to be prepared because flooding is possible, have been made for our area. They are among nearly 500 similar alerts across the region.
Temperatures today are forecast to climb as high as 9C, and the overnight rain has cleared to leave a fine if breezy day. The mercury is set to rise into the teens by Tuesday.
