Kettering Council and the Evening Telegraph will announce the national chain hoping to open a restaurant in Kettering’s Market Place Buildings tomorrow.

Following recent news that Costa Coffee is to open a second coffee shop in the town and local coffee chain Bewiched are to open in Kettering this summer, the news of another new arrival was welcomed by portfolio holder for town centre regeneration on Kettering Council Terry Freer.

Cllr Freer said: “We’ve worked really hard to make the town an attractive place to invest in, and it would seem that national retailers are picking up on Kettering’s potential.”

He refused to be drawn on the name of the restaurant, saying: “I’m afraid I couldn’t tell you who it was even if I wanted to. This whole process has been shrouded in secrecy.

“As I understand it the restaurant in question was very keen on remaining anonymous until the point when they needed to submit a licensing application.

“Everyone is going to have to buy Wednesday’s Evening Telegraph to find out who it is.”

The announcement will be covered in tomorrow’s Evening Telegraph.
