Firefighters and volunteers gave up their spare time at the weekend to help give drivers’ cars a scrub while raising funds for charity.
The group, made up of firefighters at Rushden and young people who took part in Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service’s Young Firefighters scheme, washed cars in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
The charity event took place on Saturday.
Community risk manager Kevin Hedges said the car wash had been successful and their efforts had helped to raise £269 for the cause.
Mr Hedges said: “I’d like to thank everyone who came down and supported it.”
