Firefighters called to 'dangerous structure' in Kettering where chimney breast was collapsing into road

Firefighters in Kettering were called to reports of a 'dangerous structure' at Victoria Street at 1.35pm yesterday (February 15).

The crew, upon arrival, found that a chimney breast was falling into the road.

A spokesperson for the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The fire service helped to escort people safely from the affected premises and cordoned off the area using road cones. No one was injured during the incident."

Firefighters left the scene at 2.16pm after safely securing the area. The incident was left in the hands on Kettering Borough Council.
