A town will be illuminated with Christmas lights from the end of November.
Kettering Council has revealed that its big switch-on this year will take place on Thursday, November 29.
This year’s festivities will feature stars of the town’s pantomime, Peter Pan, as well as a community singalong.
The council has also planned a Santa’s grotto and a giant Christmas tree will be put up in the town centre.
There will also be a lantern parade and singalong on Thursday, December 6.
Late-night shopping for the town will also begin the same evening as Kettering’s lights are turned on, but further details on which shops will be open have not yet been released.
After a successful two-day trial in August, the council has also announced it will look at buying a permanement big screen for the Market Place, which will be used at major events.
