Almost 2,000 properties in Kettering lost power for up to half an hour last night after a fault with an underground cable.
About 800 properties in central Kettering lost power for half an hour and another 1,000 experienced a two-minute cut at about 8.45pm.
A spokesman for Western Power Distribution, which is repsonsible for the electricity infrastruction in the area, said: “Our engineers managed to isolate the problem and managed to get supplies back on very quickly.”
Engineers diverted the supply so they could repair the cable.
Work on the cable has been carried out today.
