A trip round Kettering Crematorium is just one of the activities offered by a county organisation aiming to keep older people active.
The Northants 50+ Network is taking its roadshow to Brigstock Village Hall on Thursday, September 27, when details will be available on the other activities it organises.
The free event will run from 1pm until 4.30pm and will include stands offering information on subjects including making a will and new technology.
Mike Garlick, Corby co-ordinator of the group, said: “The aim of the network is to get people out of their armchairs and get them involved in a whole range of activities.
“I’m even organising a trip to the crematorium in November, and believe it or not, nearly all the places are taken. People find it fascinating.
“We arrange all kinds of events from walks to visits to historic sites in the area.”
Also attending the Brigstock event will be voice coach Stephen Meakins and young members of Nene Valley Community Action.
