The family of David ‘Les’ Ross have issued a statement following his inquest which was held at Kettering Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Coroner Anne Pember gave a verdict of unlawful death at the inquest.
In the statement, the family says:“Over two years since the death of our beloved David we are still a family torn apart with grief. The verdict today told us what we already knew, that David was taken from us in a senseless act of violence which he did not deserve and which was carried out in a cowardly manner.
“As a family we cannot hope to find any closure until such time as the person or persons responsible for David’s death are brought to justice. There are people still walking around in Corby and elsewhere who know what happened to David, who attacked him and why.
“These are all questions which we, his family, need an answer to and would ask that anyone with answers to those questions contacts Northamptonshire Police on 101 or contacts Crimestoppers if they feel unable to talk to police.”
Officers investigating the murder, continue to appeal for any information or witnesses to come forward.
