The plans are for development of two distribution buildings containing warehousing space with ancillary office, office and research and development space together with vehicular access from Warth Park Way and London Road.

Earthworks and landscaping are also part of the plans, including the creation of drainage features with green infrastructure and landscaping including along Meadow Land and land at the end of Scalley Way.

A public meeting about the plans took place last week and members of the public are now invited to address the council on the application and a maximum of 15 minutes will be allowed for this.

Any members of the public wishing to speak should notify the town council office ahead of tonight’s meeting.

Earlier this year Roxhill Developments said it was considering proposals to extend the site.

Speaking in July, a spokesman said: “As the developers of Warth Park, Roxhill are keen to continue to work closely and positively with Raunds Town Council and the residents of Raunds so that the town can continue to be successful and prosperous.

“We look forward to further discussing proposals with all interested parties with a view to agreeing the types of community facilities that would benefit the town and surrounding area if the planning application is submitted and approved. “If a planning application were to be submitted and approved, Roxhill confirm their absolute commitment to deliver the community facilities that have been detailed within initial proposals.”

Tonight’s extraordinary meeting starts at 8pm at the town hall in Thorpe Street, Raunds.
