Extensive damage caused by suspected arson attack on Corby industrial estate

Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspicious fire which caused extensive damage at an industrial unit on the Earlstrees industrial estate in Corby.

Emergency services were called to the fire in Rutherford Court at about 5.30am on Wednesday, February 24.

The blaze caused extensive damage to the premises and several vehicles.

Two cars were also stolen from outside the unit – a black Lexus IS250 and a silver Volvo S40.

Two other vehicles parked nearby in Macadam Road – a Ford Transit van and an Audi – were also set on fire around the same time.

An investigation is under way and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the fire, or has any information about those involved or the stolen vehicles, to contact Corby CID on 101.
