Taking place in Northampton Saints’ new Barwell Stand, the dedicated recruitment fair marks the launch of a new Northamptonshire campaign aimed at resettling forces personnel.

Kate Dent, head of communications at NEP, the organisers of the event, said: “Today’s recruitment fair and the wider ‘the place for…’campaigns are designed to support Northamptonshire’s key sectors in meeting the skills shortages they face head-on, seeking to attract talented individuals from around the UK to Northamptonshire which was ranked third in the country in the Halifax Quality of Life Survey.

Backed by local companies as well as the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) Job Agency and hosts, Northampton Saints, Northamptonshire businesses with vacancies to fill can expect to meet around 100 skilled and experienced job seeking individuals at the fair.

A Northampton Saints’ player will welcome jobseekers to Northamptonshire during the day.

There will also be a number of speakers throughout the day, individuals who have transitioned from the Armed Forces to a successful career in Northamptonshire. These will include Philip Doyle, military project manager at Wellingborough logistics company, Kuehne & Nagel, and a speaker from Travis Perkins who will highlight the benefits of recruiting ex-service staff as well as the range of opportunities available at the company.
