A man who was thought to have returned to Northamptonshire after escaping from prison has been found.
Michael Davey, aged 55, went missing from HMP Leyhill in Bristol.
He was last seen in Bristol on Wednesday, September 5. He was reported missing later that day and since then police had been trying to find him.
Davey is from Northamptonshire and police suggested he may have returned to the area.
Northamptonshire Police and the Avon and Somerset force were working together to find and apprehend him, putting out an appeal for help yesterday (Thursday).
But a police spokesman said that Davey was found in Peterborough yesterday and was now in custody.
Police have thanked the public for their help with the search.
