The latest endurance Iron Run event will take place at Cranford near Kettering on Saturday, May 2, with the first runners starting off at 10.30am.
As well as the full 12km obstacle off-road course, there are the half 6km run, a 3km junior event as well as a children’s run over 1.2km.
Runners will use a trail through dense woodland to tackle naturally occurring barriers, have to crawl through boggy swamps, wade across rivers and battle up hills.
Activities for the family will run throughout the day with a bouncy castle for the children and sports massages available for competitors’ tired, aching legs. Refreshments will be available from a bar also serving cooked breakfasts to early arrivals on the course.
