Drug dealer forced to give cash back

A DEALER from Irthlingborough who pocketed thousands from selling drugs has been ordered to pay £71,390.43 under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Roy Rush, of Brawn Close, Irthlingborough, admitted possession with intent to supply at Northampton Crown Court after being caught with large quantities of amphetamine worth about £7,000 on two occasions.

He received a 12-month jail sentence, suspended for two years. Following his conviction, confiscation proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 commenced and it was found that he had financially benefited from his drug dealing.
