B&M has confirmed its plans to open a new store in Wellingborough town centre.
The discount retailer has confirmed today (Wednesday) that it is set to open in the former QD Stores site in Market Street on Wednesday, April 26.
Bosses have said the new shop, which will be the second in the town alongside the branch at Victoria Park, will create more than 30 jobs for people in the area.
A spokesman for B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.”
B&M sells various branded products, including toys, food and drink, pet products, health and beauty and homewares.
Job roles are advertised on the B&M website, with jobs ranging from sale assistants to floor managers and cleaners.
There are a mixture of full and part-time positions, both temporary and permanent.
The Northants Telegraph reported earlier this month that QD Stores in Market Street had closed and would be leaving the former Woolworths site after being given notice to leave by its new landlords.
