Officers are reissuing an appeal for information after the hit and run in Birchfield Road, Northampton on Saturday, June 11.

The car, believed to be a light-coloured Ford Focus estate, is alleged to have been driven deliberately towards the pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries in the collision.

The driver did not stop and drove off in the direction of Park Avenue North.

The incident happened between 11pm and 11.20pm on Saturday, June 11, shortly after a street party to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

Witnesses to the collision, or anyone with information about the vehicle involved, are being asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
