Desborough dessert parlour opens for business

Desborough's newest foodie venture has officially opened its doors.

Scoopz, based at the R Inn in Station Road, opened to the public on Saturday (March 18).

The dessert parlour will sell a variety of ice creams, smoothies, cakes, waffles and pancakes.

Speaking after announcing the venture in January, owner Kris Malde said: “It’s a big trend in London at the minute and there’s nowhere in Desborough for people to go and get a dessert.

“We’ll sell all sorts of ice creams and desserts and it will be affordable as well.

“Kids will be able to get big ice creams for a quid.”

Ice cream flavours include the classics as well as modern flavours such as pistachio, Baileys, and coconut.

Scoopz will be open from 2pm to 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and will open on Sundays when it is the summer.
