Officers investigating two burglaries in Desborough last week have said they believe they may be linked.

A house in Whitehill Road was broken into at some point between 7.30am and 7pm on Thursday, February 27.

Between noon and 2pm on the same day, a nearby house in Dovedale was also broken into.

In both incidents the back door of the house was forced open.

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of carrying out the burglary at the Dovedale property and released on bail pending further enquiries.

But police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed either break-in or seen anything suspicious in that part of the town on that day.

Witnesses or anyone with any information can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
