Depressed woman's suicide

A DEPRESSED woman was found dead under a willow tree in Wicksteed Park Kettering, an inquest heard.

Yvonne Coulson, 47, of Roundhill Road, Kettering, was found dead in the park on August 26 last year after taking an overdose of paracetamol and anti-depressants.

There was a small amount of alcohol in her body and she had developed hypothermia.

The inquest heard that Mrs Coulson had suffered from depression for several years and had a drink problem.

She took an overdose in January, 2003, and her condition grew worse when one of her friends died in March, 2005.

Shortly before her death her house was repossessed.

Coroner Ann Pember said: “She had alcohol problems for many years.

“She had problems with debt and her house had been repossessed.

“I’m quite satisfied that she no longer wanted to live.”

The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.
