Residents in Corby are being reminded to register to vote in the by-election being held on Thursday, November 15.

People have until 4pm on Wednesday, October 31, to ensure they have a say.

Corby Council carried out a registration canvass in the borough between August and this month and 25,452 households out of 26,670 responded.

A spokesman for the council said: “Time is now ticking away for households to contact the council and register before it’s too late.

“Only those who have registered to vote will be given the right to have their say.”

All residents are required to register and will not only lose their right to vote but could be fined up to £1,000 if they don’t comply.

People can obtain a registration form by contacting the elections office at the borough council on 01536 464012 or by emailing

Polling cards are being delivered from Friday (October 26) to Sunday (October 28).
