An elderly man died after a horror crash between a tricycle and car in Desborough yesterday (Thursday).

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after the crash in Stoke Road on the edge of the town at 1.15pm.

A silver Volkswagen Polo collided with a cyclist riding an electric powered tricycle and the air ambulance was called to the incident.

The cyclist, an 85-year-old man, died at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch.

"Anyone with information should call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615."
