Wayne Sleep, a former principal dancer for the Royal Ballet, will visit Starlight Dance & Musical Theatre School’s High Street base on April 24.

Starlight has been running for six years and has more than 700 students a week coming to the town centre.

Principal Jacc Batch is delighted to have such a star coming to his school.

He said: “Wayne Sleep will be holding a workshop day at our school, this is an incredible opportunity for not only our students but dancers nationally.

“I feel Kettering gets a bad press sometimes and isn’t known for it’s exciting news but this is wonderful and something I feel deserves shouting about.”

The workshops will include repetoire from classical ballets and West End shows, and are open to anyone although spaces are limited.

The workshops are: Junior ballet (12pm), junior jazz (1.15pm), senior ballet (3.15pm) and senior jazz (4.30pm).

The cost to participate is £20 per session, with spectators charged £5 for admission.
