The murder of a Wellingborough pensioner could be featured on Crimewatch.
Karoly Varga, 76, who was known as Charlie, was found murdered at his home in Cannon Street, on July 30, 2011.
The 76-year-old, known as Charlie, had been struck a number of times with an axe-like weapon.
Northamptonshire Police hope the get the case will be featured in October.
The shocking murder sparked a massive police operation, which led to a one man being charged with Mr Varga’s murder earlier this month.
After the case against the suspect was dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service, a £10,000 reward was offered by his family in return for information leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the murderer.
