Woman touched inappropriately in Northampton underpass after refusing to have coffee with a stranger

A 42-year-old woman was assaulted after refusing to have coffee with a stranger.

The incident happened in the Greyfriars underpass off Market Square in Northampton town centre, just after 4pm on Wednesday, November 9.

After the woman declined the offender’s offer of coffee, he put his arms around her and touched her inappropriately.

He is described as Eastern European, in his mid-30s with a skinny build, black and balding hair, wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
