Woman jailed for car thefts

A woman from Kettering has been jailed after stealing from cars.

Maureen Johnston, 27, of Margaret Road, has been sentenced to 16 months in prison for a series of thefts from cars in Burton Latimer.

The three offences took place on Sunday, March 9, in Churchill Way and Queensway.

Johnston appeared before Northampton Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday, April 8), where she was sentenced to 16 months for the thefts and one count of shoplifting.
