A woman was followed by a man in Northampton town centre and sexually assaulted, police have reported today.
The incident happened between 3am and 3.30am on Sunday September 18.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “A woman, walking down Bridge Street, noticed she was being followed and sat on a wall hoping that the person would walk past her.
“However, the man sat next to her, touched her leg, her neck and pulled her hair. The woman then made a call on her mobile phone and walked away.
“The offender is described as a 5ft 9in Asian man in his 30s, of medium build, with short black hair, clean shaven and wearing a black shirt,” the spokesman added.
