A 39-year-old Northampton woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Sergeant Nicola Tailby said. "Warrants such as the one we carried out today I hope sends a very clear message to drug dealers in this town that we will not tolerate them in our communities and that the safety of local people is our priority.

"The whole reason we are here today is basically because of the intelligence we have received from the community. I can't tell you how important it is that we keep receiving this intelligence because it allows us to carry out warrants such as this.

"If you have any information you would like to give us I would encourage you to use the 101 service or Crimestoppers if you'd like to do that anonymously."

Northamptonshire Police launched its 100 Days campaign last week focusing on serious organised crime, sexual violence, domestic abuse, child exploitation and cuckooing in a bid to root out criminals using tip-offs and reports from the county's communities.

Assistant Chief Constable Simon Blatchly told the Chronicle & Echo: "We're aiming to carry out some high-profile policing activity to support the most vulnerable in society and crack down on criminality.

"It's about not letting people move into this area. We are really keen that we don't allow drug-dealing to get a foothold in the county."
