Windows smashed with stones at Kettering Library

Yobs threw stones to smash windows at a town library which was only recently targeted by thieves who stole 800 DVDs.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident at Kettering Library in Sheep Street which took place sometime between 4.15pm on Sunday (May 19) and 6.30am on Monday (May 20).

A police spokesman said: “Stones were thrown at a number of windows of the library, causing them to smash.

“The damaged window panes are expected to cost a considerable amount of money to repair.”

It comes after the Telegraph recently reported how the library had been targeted by thieves who escaped with a haul of 800 DVDs.
