Wellingborough paedophile had hundreds of child abuse images

He pleaded guilty to all charges facing him

A Wellingborough man will be sentenced next month after he was caught with more than 500 sick pictures of child abuse.

Antony Squires, 63, admitted three charges of possessing indecent images of children when he appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court earlier this week.

The charges relate to an incident in July 2017 and Squires was caught with hundreds of vile files.

Northampton Magistrates' Court.

They included 323 category A images - the most depraved - as well as 124 category B images and 135 category C images.

Squires, of Hunt Close, pleaded guilty to further charges of possessing 59 extreme pornographic images and six prohibited video images of children.

Magistrates granted him unconditional bail and told him he would be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on March 5.

He will have to register as a sex offender at Wellingborough's police station until then.
