Two teenagers have received custodial sentences after they admitted supplying heroin in Northamptonshire.

Lee Edwards and Queshahn Smith-Martin, both aged 18, were arrested in an operation against drug dealers in Wellingborough and surrounding areas in May this year.

Northampton Crown Court heard they were part of a gang of more than 20 people who supplied class A drugs.

The pair were arrested as part of Operation Fever in which police seized £40,000 worth of heroin and cocaine and £225,000 in cash..

Edwards, of no fixed address, and Smith-Marton, of Castle Street, Wellingborough, were sentenced to 30 months and 31 months, respectively, to be served in a young offenders’ instituition.
