Two masked man armed with machetes burgled a property in Northampton

Police are on the hunt for two masked men, who forced their way into a property in St Michael's Road, Northampton yesterday morning (February 2) and stole a quantity of cash as well as jewellery.

The aggravated burglary took place between 8.15am and 8.45am. The pair - once forcing their way into the residence - stole around £1,000 in cash and items of jewellery.

The pair then ran off towards Kettering Road and then onto Wellingborough Road in the direction of the town centre.

The offenders are both described as man of Asian appearance, wearing black face coverings and dark coloured or grey jogging bottoms.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Anyone who saw the incident, or who may have information, CCTV or dashcam footage which could be useful to the investigation, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number: 21000067717."
