Two Eastern European men helped man after he was attacked in Northampton

Police are trying to track down two Eastern European men who helped a man who had been assaulted in Northampton town centre.

A man was walking to the railway station after at about 2am after a night out when he was verbally assaulted by somebody who then punched and kicked him to the floor.

He was knocked out as a result and taken to Northampton General Hospital by two men who went to his aid.

The victim needed six stitches in his forehead and suffered lots of swelling and bruising all over his body.

It is believed the attacker may have been Asian.

Police would like to identify the two men who helped the victim in order to establish exactly where the assault took place. It is believed they were both Eastern European.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
