Two attackers in hoodies assault men walking towards Northampton footbridge

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted as they walked towards a footbridge near Farmfield Court in Northampton.

The incident took place between 1.30am and 2am on Wednesday, August 12, when the men in their 20s were walking towards the footbridge over Billing Brook Road, when they were approached by two men, and assaulted. The men managed to escape and ran off towards Booth Meadow Court.

The first offender is described as white, aged 20 to 30, 6ft, and of a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded top with a dark quilted/padded Gilet-style jacket over the top.

The second offender was also white, between 5ft 11in and 6ft, and of a slim build. He was wearing a dark striped hooded top.
